Again, at 4,000 miles or so, it’s fine to switch to a synthetic oil if you choose. They will change the oil again and extend the next change interval to 1000 to 3000 miles before they change it again and possibly switch to a synthetic motor oil. New engines don�t have break in oil, you are not the 1st to run these engines, they ran in factory well before you ever saw your brand new engine.

On every single one of my new vehicles, at 500 miles i changed my oil and filter (using replacement break in oil when the oem did). Should you wait for the schedule maintenance either at 3,750 or 7,000 miles or do it sooner then the 3,750 mile mark. That�s the whole point of it.

But you should see some evidence of break in with the first oil change. Years ago they put break in oil in engines, they no longer do that in the palisade engine. We�ve heard about this mysterious oil for years.

Never had to use synthetic it previous vehicles but hyundai dealer just charged me 100 for just the synthetic oil change nothing else that’s normal price? For engine overhaul or cylinder replacement. I don�t think the first change is going to tell you much.
