Given the choice i would go slightly lower profile (aspect) if you�re going wider so instead of 195/65 go 195/60. The factory 235 tire is perfect for an 8 wide wheel. But if your tire is wider than the rim by at least 1 inch (i prefer 2 when possible) than your tire is seated on the rim properly and has. Example of 9 & 11 inch wide tires on 14x6 front and 14x8 rear rims.

I know there’s a couple guys on here that have 295 and 315/70/17 on those rims and they fit, but a lot of shops won’t install that much width since the rims are 7” wide.

If the rim is wider than stock, there may not be enough clearance to the ball joint or steering arm to permit half the extra width to go inside the wheel well. That being said people do put 315 wide or 12.5 wide on stock wheels you just may get funny wear due to the thinner wheels or have run lower psi to get even wear. 1) the closer you will come to the tire hitting the fender 2) the more you will slant the sidewall out from the rim which takes away (with �flex�) some of the �grip� you gain with the extra width.
